Reply from "Auburn University (AU)" "Overall great academic experience at Auburn"

Overall, my experience at Auburn was great! The size was perfect: not too big to feel lost in a sea of people, but not too small to feel suffocated either. This goes for both the campus and city as well as the classroom sizes. There was always something to do on and off-campus, from parties/clubs to a multitude of organizations. And if you couldn’t find an organization that met your needs, you could easily make one. The amazing athletics available for viewing at this Division 1 school played a factor in my decision for attending. But the most important decision-maker was the academics. The teachers are extremely knowledgeable and eager to help at every turn. Not to mention the fantastic Career Services staff that help with everything from fixing resumes to securing internships. The students and staff are warm and welcoming with that southern charm that truly makes it the “loveliest village on the plains”.

Reply from "Auburn University (AU)" "My time at Auburn was fantastic in general."

Overall, my time at Auburn was fantastic! It was the right size: not too large to feel lost in a crowd, but not too small to feel suffocated. This applies to both the campus and the community, as well as the scale of the classrooms.

Reply from "Auburn University (AU)" "The library and student center are fantastic, and there is a lot to do on campus."

If you reach out to speak to people, they are mostly polite, and the campus is large and easy to navigate after you’ve done it a few times. Some teachers, on the other hand, show no remorse for their students and are difficult to communicate with outside of work. On weekends, campus life is pretty good, the library and student center are great, and if you need tutoring, there are lots of choices.

Reply from "Auburn University (AU)" "Campus life is enjoyable, and the library and student center are excellent"

My lectures are always online, with a few in-person sessions with small groups. Some professors simply fail to look at the Zoom chat boxes, whilst others keep an eye on them in case of questions. The classes themselves typically have more than 100 students. The internet will sometimes reboot, causing Zoom to crash, but most professors will not care and will continue to lecture as if anyone is in the room.

Reply from "Auburn University (AU)" "online courses will be a big part of the curriculum I do not find this conducive to good"

This fall, online courses will be a big part of the curriculum. This is not conducive to healthy studying, and I am disappointed that so many teachers have chosen to teach from home because they are afraid of catching a virus. They didn’t do something similar to the flu outbreak, which has a far greater mortality rate than this strain.

Reply from "Auburn University (AU)" "Worst kind of staff"

The worst kind of staff. Starting with outreach manager Krysta Weed. Auburn does not have financial scholarships unless you are a high school merit scholar or valedictorian. Out-of-state tuition is very high. And if you do well, getting money after the first year is difficult.

Reply from "Auburn University (AU)" "Done a great job moving to online learning "

From my view, it was handled well and the teachers were on top of it. When it comes to studying, I’m obviously not an online user, but it was the best case scenario.
